{"id":213947,"date":"2017-06-24T07:00:29","date_gmt":"2017-06-23T21:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/uk\/real-weddings\/emily-and-greg-stay-close-to-home-for-informal-modern-city-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T11:49:32","modified_gmt":"2022-03-17T00:49:32","slug":"emily-and-greg-stay-close-to-home-for-informal-modern-city-wedding","status":"publish","type":"uk-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/real-weddings\/uk\/real-weddings\/emily-and-greg-stay-close-to-home-for-informal-modern-city-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Emily and Greg stay close to home for informal modern city wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">London pair Emily\u00a0Dimmock and Greg Spencer only had to walk around the corner to their informal modern city wedding.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We wanted to have an informal wedding that reflected us, in the place we live, and with food from places we know and love,&#8221; Greg, 31, says of the February 18, 2017 celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>The couple, who have been together since university, wed at\u00a0Asylum, Peckham (a 10-minute walk from their home) in front of 95 guests, before dancing the night away at converted warehouse venue Brixton East.<\/p>\n<p>Emily, 30, says she loved that she and her bridesmaids could get ready at home.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The ceremony wasn\u2019t until 4pm so I had a relaxing morning\u00a0followed by a champagne brunch at my house. Then&#8230; we spent about three hours getting ready. It was so fun, and I loved being able to get ready at home,&#8221; she says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The whole day worked out exactly how we wanted it to \u2013 fun, relaxed and no stresses. It was such a happy day &#8211; I actually had a cheek spasm at one point I was smiling so much!<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There were so many highlights &#8211; from yoga and brunch with my bridesmaids to finishing at 2am dancing with everyone to LCD Soundsystem\u2019s <em>All My Friends<\/em>, I wouldn\u2019t have changed a thing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Photos courtesy of <a
