and Aaron create modern industrial wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Michelle Beasley and Aaron Guarini needed a stylish, edgy venue to host their non-traditional wedding on June 18, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The Drop Forge in Birmingham, a renovated Victorian factory, ticked all the boxes for the pair, aged 28 and 32 respectively. \u201cWe wanted something a little different, somewhere with character and not a typical <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingVenues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wedding venue<\/a>,\u201d says Michelle. \u201cThe venue has lots of original features, gorgeous brick and wonderful light.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sixty guests attended their ceremony and in the evening, 130 loved ones <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/articles\/keep-guests-happy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">were treated<\/a> to tapas-style dishes served in various spots around the venue. \u201cThe many alcoves decorated with lights provided areas for our guests to relax in the evening,\u201d smiles Michelle.<\/p>\n<p>The bride and groom opted for stylish slate grey colours for their modern industrial wedding. \u201cI decorated glass jars with lace, twine and grey ribbon which were filled with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingFlowers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gypsophila and foliage<\/a> from my bouquet and dotted around the venue,\u201d says the Michelle of her DIY skills. \u201cThe round tables with silver chairs were simply decorated with slate cube centrepieces filled with foliage that matched my bouquet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Guests were given a takeaway for the evening \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/weddingfavours\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">handmade favour boxes<\/a> filled with either a scratch card, mini J\u00e4germeister or a
