We quickly realised we were two frustrated creatives in a sea of corporate gloom and would try to break up the day by secretly sending silly limericks to each other over the staff intranet,&#8221; Laura, 33, explains.<\/p>\n<p>The future bride then headed to one of Dave&#8217;s folk band gigs and soon after the couple had formed a folk duo of their own.<\/p>\n<p>They sang their way around London, where they were living at the time, and a year and a half later Dave, 36, thought up an elaborate proposal that led to a hunt through London and ended in tea and a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingJewellery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diamond ring<\/a> atop Parliament Hill on Hampstead Heath.<\/p>\n<p>The couple then spent about 10 months planning their autumn wedding. &#8220;We both knew we wanted it to be in autumn because we love the colours and the cosy feel of the nights drawing in,&#8221; Laura says.<\/p>\n<p>The couple wed at\u00a0Alveston Pastures Farm in\u00a0Warwickshire on October 22, 2011 in front of 58 guests. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/MarriageCelebrant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">humanist ceremony<\/a> was so inspirational that the bride has now retrained as a wedding celebrant!<\/p>\n<p>The venue provided a blank canvas for the autumn-themed celebrations and the couple and their families spent many hours bringing their vision to life.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our wedding wasn\u2019t fancy or grand. But we felt that it represented us well \u2013 it was homely and, wherever possible, homemade,&#8221; Laura says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We ate pie, we drank mulled wine in front of the fire, and we were with our closest friends and family!
