{"id":208795,"date":"2017-01-02T06:00:51","date_gmt":"2017-01-01T19:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/uk\/real-weddings\/scandinavian-romance-constellation-cake-inpires-nordic-styled-shoot\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T11:13:02","modified_gmt":"2022-03-17T00:13:02","slug":"scandinavian-romance-constellation-cake-inpires-nordic-styled-shoot","status":"publish","type":"uk-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/real-weddings\/uk\/real-weddings\/scandinavian-romance-constellation-cake-inpires-nordic-styled-shoot\/","title":{"rendered":"Scandinavian romance: Constellation cake inpires Nordic styled shoot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">A dramatic wedding cake reflecting the night skies of Scandinavia was the inspiration behind this dreamy Nordic styled shoot.<\/p>\n<p>Baker and creater Emma Thorburn, of<a href=\"http:\/\/bunsoffun.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> Buns of Fun<\/a>, dreamed up the three-tier wonder.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We created a constellation-inspired cake in hues of blue, a gold leaf studded constellation and gold-sprayed gypsophelia on an oak log slice and a rack of antlers,&#8221; Emma says.<\/p>\n<p>Foliage and greens in dark and berry shades, from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingFlowers\/Norfolk\/BrambleAndBerryFlorist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bramble and Berry Florist<\/a>,\u00a0reflected the Nordic landscape.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Warming the palette we had plum velvet and sage velvet ribbons and in a riot of untamed bouquets and dioramas, gold speckled glass tealights and a sequinned table dressing coupled with a wildly autumnal centrepiece runner,&#8221; Emma says.<\/p>\n<p>The bride and groom looked equally striking &#8211; the bride sported berry lips and a smoky eye and an almost-medieval look with blue velvet cape and faux fur. The groom wore loose chains and a\u00a0buccaneer shirt.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Stationery was fabulously created with elements of the shoot in the use of splashes of blue, gold tips, pine cones and feathers,&#8221; Emma says.<\/p>\n<p>A great grey owl and Harrier hawk were even brought in to add a wild Nordic touch to the shoot, which was held at\u00a0Baconsthorpe Castle in North
