But the reality was I couldn\u2019t wait. I sent Lucy an anniversary card with the important question written inside, when she read it and looked up there I was behind the card, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingJewellery\/\">ring<\/a> in hand,&#8221; Andrew, 34, says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Just a few days later we found out that we were expecting our first child, Maddison, who arrived in January 2011, two years later we had another beautiful baby boy named Alfie in July 2013. Now our family was complete we felt it was time to set a date for the big day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Newcastle-under-Lyme couple chose March 20, 2016 for their vintage wedding, held at the rustic barn at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingVenues\/Staffordshire\/TheAshes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Ashes <\/a>in Endon, Staffordshire, with 120 friends and family watching on.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew and Lucy, 34, describe their big day as &#8220;magical&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was everything we dreamed of when we began <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingPlanner\/\">planning<\/a>,&#8221; Andrew says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our family and friends still comment on what an amazing day it was, we wouldn\u2019t have
