to create their dream rustic wedding.<\/p>\n<p>The Bedford couple, who first met when they were 14, wed close to home on August 27, 2015 not long after Joe, 27, popped the question in The Ritz after a Thames river cruise.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As we have family coming from Spain, New Zealand and Cornwall and elderly relatives it was important to us that the ceremony, reception and hotel was in the one local location,&#8221; Justine, 27, says of their choice to have their big day at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingVenues\/Bedfordshire\/TheBarnsHotel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Barns Hotel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We wanted to keep the wedding simple and low key, with the most important thing being that our friends, family and us had a great time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>One hundred guests took part in the celebrations, with the couple doing a bit of DIY to make the day their own.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Together with my crafty family we made the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingInvitations\/\"> wedding stationery<\/a>, shortbread favours, hessian table runners and signage for around the venue,&#8221; Justine says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I married my childhood sweetheart in our hometown surrounded by all of our friends and family who love us and whom we love dearly \u2013 what could be
