{"id":205833,"date":"2016-08-09T07:00:34","date_gmt":"2016-08-08T21:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/uk\/real-weddings\/london-calling-jessica-matthew-cross-atlantic-london-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T10:51:23","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T23:51:23","slug":"london-calling-jessica-matthew-cross-atlantic-london-wedding","status":"publish","type":"uk-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/real-weddings\/uk\/real-weddings\/london-calling-jessica-matthew-cross-atlantic-london-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"London calling: Jessica and Matthew cross Atlantic for London wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Jessica Matlin and Matthew Ralys met in Miami before eventually jetting across the Atlantic for their two-day London wedding that celebrated everything that&#8217;s great about the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Jessica, 38, says they wanted to marry in her hometown and turned it into an all-round London celebration geared at showing the couple&#8217;s American guests around the great city.<\/p>\n<p>Jessica and Matthew, 31, wed at the Mayfair Library in Westminster on August 8, 2015 in front of 35 guests.<\/p>\n<p>Lunch followed at celebrity pub Punchbowl, with all the traditional pub-grub. Guests then piled into an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingCars\/\">open-top double-decker bus<\/a> for a special tour of London.\u00a0&#8220;Matt and I spent hours planning the exact route to include all the major sights and also some places\u00a0personal to us,&#8221; Jessica says.<\/p>\n<p>The next stop was the London Eye, where the couple ended the evening in a private capsule overlooking the city.<\/p>\n<p>Day two arrived and the fun continued, with the couple exchanging vows\u00a0all over again in Jessica&#8217;s parent&#8217;s garden in front of 70 friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>Jessica says it was a chance to spend time with all the friends they couldn&#8217;t include on the first day.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I once again put on my\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingDress\/\">dress<\/a>, walked down the aisle with my dad and read the traditional vows&#8230;\u00a0We enjoyed an English tea party in the sunshine, with scones and\u00a0clotted cream, and as the sun began to set, we were able to have the speeches, first dances and fun,&#8221; the bride says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Not many people get two wedding days with
