But Dean was about to take that awesomeness next level, organising the lead singer for their vintage wedding on September 19, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to get Joel Stoker (lead singer from The Rifles) to perform our first dance, a song called <em>Spend a Lifetime<\/em>,\u201d says Dean. \u201cThis would be a surprise for Lucy and I would have to wait until the week before the wedding for confirmation, cue a long and nervous wait.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, Dean lost his father, and the couple were already mourning the earlier loss of Lucy\u2019s dad, knowing he wouldn\u2019t be there to walk her down the aisle. \u201cKnowing that he would have wanted the wedding to go ahead we pressed on, tinged with sadness,\u201d explains Dean.<\/p>\n<p>But the surprise the groom had been hoping for was a silver lining for the pair on their special day; Joel Stoker <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingMusic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">performed<\/a>. \u201cLucy was in shock, smiled all night and it was the most special day in the company of friends, family and the memories of those who could not share it with us,\u201d smiles Dean.<\/p>\n<p>Photos courtesy
