{"id":202519,"date":"2016-03-08T17:00:14","date_gmt":"2016-03-08T06:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/uk\/real-weddings\/perfectly-fit-scarlett-and-sam-go-from-gym-to-country-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T10:28:07","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T23:28:07","slug":"perfectly-fit-scarlett-and-sam-go-from-gym-to-country-wedding","status":"publish","type":"uk-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/real-weddings\/uk\/real-weddings\/perfectly-fit-scarlett-and-sam-go-from-gym-to-country-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Perfectly fit: Scarlett and Sam go from gym to country wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">After first meeting at the gym they both worked at, it didn&#8217;t take long for sparks to fly between Scarlett MacDonald and Sam Roberts.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He spent a lot of his breaks in reception talking to me and he finally asked me out eight months later,&#8221; Scarlett, 28, says of her personal trainer beau.<\/p>\n<p>Sam, 31, later took his future bride to New York and popped the question on a rooftop overlooking the Empire State Building for a proposal with a view.\u00a0The couple returned home to plan their country wedding, which would also include their gorgeous daughter Bobbie, 4, as flower girl.<\/p>\n<p>Scarlett and Sam\u00a0married in their local church, St Andrew&#8217;s in Kegworth, Derby, on August 22, 2015 in front of 108 family and friends.\u00a0Celebrations then moved to the family farm at Markfield.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sam had said this is where he would like to get married right from the start and what an amazing location it is!&#8221; Scarlett says.\u00a0A large <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/WeddingHire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">marquee<\/a> provided plenty of room for guests and a white colour scheme with gorgeous\u00a0greenery added to the country feel.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There really is no need to stress about anything,&#8221; Scarlett says looking back.\u00a0&#8220;On the day all you care about is getting down the aisle to marry the love of your life!
