{"id":194888,"date":"2019-07-12T05:00:58","date_gmt":"2019-07-11T19:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/uk\/real-weddings\/just-the-two-of-us-vicky-and-steves-classic-london-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T14:05:12","modified_gmt":"2022-03-17T03:05:12","slug":"just-the-two-of-us-vicky-and-steves-classic-london-wedding","status":"publish","type":"uk-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/real-weddings\/uk\/real-weddings\/just-the-two-of-us-vicky-and-steves-classic-london-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Just the two of us&#8217;: Vicky and Steve&#8217;s classic London wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Vicky and Steve\u2019s classic London wedding day was all about making loved ones feel included and comfortable.<\/p>\n<p>It was the same priority when Steve, 45, decided to propose to Vicky, 37, several years ago. \u201cMy family live in the US and I see them about twice a year so Steve\u2019s proposal was truly thoughtful; he wanted to do it when we had both gone away for a romantic weekend but he waited for the following month to ask me, when my family were visiting,\u201d explains Vicky. \u201cWe had gone to Manchester to visit other family members and he asked me in our little hotel room, just the two of us, but it gave me the chance to share it with my family afterwards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They married on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/articles\/choosing-wedding-date\/\">August 25, 2018<\/a> at Winchester House in London with 90 guests. \u201cMy main aim for the wedding day, was that I wanted one location for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/articles\/how-to-fill-the-gap-between-your-ceremony-and-reception\/\">ceremony and reception<\/a>,&#8221; says the bride. \u201cI didn\u2019t want people to have to organise moving around, I wanted a warm beautiful day where people could arrive, take their jackets off have a drink, relax and enjoy. But it was so dramatic and suited my shape so well, it took me completely by surprise!&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-122130\"
