{"id":193693,"date":"2014-09-25T14:00:27","date_gmt":"2014-09-25T04:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/country-chic-meets-beach-diy-wedding-jessica-jethro\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T09:04:38","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T22:04:38","slug":"country-chic-meets-beach-diy-wedding-jessica-jethro","status":"publish","type":"uk-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/real-weddings\/uk\/real-weddings\/country-chic-meets-beach-diy-wedding-jessica-jethro\/","title":{"rendered":"Country chic meets the beach at DIY wedding of Jessica &#038; Jethro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">They decked out the local hall in hessian and hay and incorporated a piece of their favourite beach into their vows.<\/p>\n<p>Jessica Moroney and Jethro Holmes\u2019 earthy palette was a representation of not only their two favourite things &#8211; the ocean and the country \u2013 but also their grounded attitudes. \u201cIt was more about the marriage than the wedding,\u201d says Jessica, 22.<\/p>\n<p>Their relaxed nuptials on\u00a0April 5, 2014 were held in Perlubie Beach, South Australia.\u00a0\u201cWe chose to only include things with a special meaning \u2013 such as our sand ceremony \u2013 which not only signified our union but included sand from the beach which is a special place in our relationship.<\/p>\n<p>From the cliff top ceremony overlooking the bay, 150 guests migrated to Piednippie Hall where country-chic inspired the desired atmosphere: \u00a0\u201cCalm, simple, elegant, and full of love,\u201d smiles Jessica.<\/p>\n<p>The DIY wedding starred natural elements including hessian, hay and timber combined with lace and gypsophila. \u201cWe loved the contrast of all the earthy tones mixed in with the white,\u201d says Jessica, with Jethro, 26. \u201cEven our crockery worked with the hessian\u2026in a bone colour.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The organised pair were a calm one come wedding day. Says the bride, \u201cDouble check every detail in the lead up, but on the day, relax and enjoy \u2013 in the blink of an eye, it\u2019s over!\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"clearfix\"><img
