Catherine says their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyweddings.co.uk\/blogs\/easy-weddings-blog\/misc\/farm-wedding-ideas-tables-setup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">farm wedding<\/a> nine months later on August 1, 2015 was more perfect than they could have imagined. \u201cHaving rained torrentially in the week leading up to the day, I had purchased \u2018wedding wellies\u2019 in case of emergencies,\u201d she explains. \u201cOn the day, however, the sun shone and we were able to show off the countryside in all its glory.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They chose Church of St Michael and All Angels in Alwinton for the ceremony and set up a marquee on their parent\u2019s farm in Northumberland for the reception. \u201cWe wanted a relaxed rural wedding with good quality food and drink,\u201d describes Catherine. \u201cNeither of us felt comfortable with a fancy hotel reception.
