Caryl Williams and Alex Ingram went back to where it all began for their farm wedding in the Welsh countryside.
Alex, 32, proposed to Caryl, 31, on the secluded Mwnt Beach, near Caryl’s childhood home, and the London couple returned to the town to marry on May 3, 2014.
Mwnt Church hosted the couple’s ceremony, celebrated with 90 guests, and the reception was held at Caryl’s family farm nearby.
“We both really like a good party, including nice food and wine, so we decided to have the reception on my dad’s farm in West Wales so that we could prolong the celebrations into the early hours and have maximum flexibility,” Caryl explains.
And the couple really did make the most of it, with delicious food, a marquee and even a jumping castle giving the celebrations a festival feel.
Caterers Llys Meddyg ensured the evening ran smoothly and signage, bunting and beautiful blooms kept with a blue, orange and white theme.
Caryle says their choice of venue was ideal.
“It is a truly breathtaking location and as many had to travel for about five hours to get to West Wales we wanted them to experience the very best that Wales has to offer,” she says.

In choosing a wedding gown, Caryl opted for a simple, vintage-inspired dress.
Alex and Caryl met at university and were going out for about seven years before getting engaged.
Caryl has simple advice for future brides – “Not to get too stressed and enjoy it!” she says.
