Congrats to Jade and Will who’ve been crowned our December Wedding of the Month winners!
They are in the running for a second honeymoon to Italy’s ‘green heart’, Umbria.
Looking back on their favourite memories from their engagement helped inspire Jade and Will’s rustic destination wedding.
Will, 32, popped the question while he and Jade, 26, were taking in the magnificent views of Venice – complete with a hired photographer capturing the special moment from afar.
“One of our favourite photos from the engagement was of us in the vineyard at the back of the hotel. I remember saying to Will ‘imagine if we were in our wedding outfits!’” Jade recalls.
It was then they decided on a vineyard wedding, discovering Chateau Soulac in France. “It was the first and last venue we looked at,” Jade says.
Ninety friends and family made the trip across the Channel for the September 16, 2017 celebrations.
“Our main vision was to have a natural, relaxed wedding day. A day that guests of all ages would enjoy,” Jade says.
“We found ourselves interested the most in the smaller details of the wedding. The details that would put a little smile on the guests’ faces throughout the day; Happy tears handkerchiefs, personalised children goodie bags, guest book jar and sparkler tunnel.”

Jade sourced her simple but elegant gown and headpiece from The Wedding Trousseau, paired with heels from Jenny Packham.
“Ultimately, we knew that weddings were never completely perfect, so we didn’t allow anything that wasn’t important ruin our day. Only allowing tears of happiness and excitement!” Jade says.
Jade and her bridesmaids carried large bouquets full of greenery and neutral blooms.
“We thought it would be a nice touch for the day to resemble the country we were in as much as possible, so decided to use as many locally-sourced products as possible. Such as the wine, cheese, handmade soap favours and decorations,” Jade says.
