When Vicki MacLean met Ramsay Dow at an interview, he got more than just the job.
“Never did I think I was interviewing for a husband!” Vicki, 42, jokes.
After a few years of dating, the couple designed an engagement ring together, but Vicki said Ramsay, 38, caught her by surprise when he actually popped the question.
“He got down on one knee one wet thundery night in May 2014 and totally surprised me with the ring – was a huge surprise!” she says.
The couple, who hail from South Queensferry, Scotland, held their intimate Scottish coastal wedding on July 24, 2015 in front of an informal group of family and close friends.
“Our families are most important to us so we kept the ceremony intimate on an island on Firth of Forth where we live then a big party afterwards for all our extended family and friends – a real party atmosphere!” Vicki says.
“Everything we planned, everyone who helped in making our day special made it happen and for that reason alone it was perfect.”

Vicki made quite the entrance to the island wedding, arriving by ferry.
Vicki looked stunning in an ivory tulle skirt with silk body suit from Elizabeth Stuart Wedding Dresses. She paired them with an emerald and gold pair of Jimmy Choos.
The bride held a rustic bouquet that included gerberas and Ivy. Thistles and lavender also featured in the wedding flowers.
The couple opted for a cheese tower from The Cheese Shed instead of a wedding cake. “We LOVE cheese,” Vicki says.
