A round-the-world adventure led to a trip down the aisle for Megan Dowd and Danny Jackson.
The holiday began in Mexico, where Danny, 29, found the perfect ring and soon after popped the question.
The Essex pair explored the US before touching down in Bora Bora where they were officially married by the local mayor on September 7, 2015.
Another ceremony was then held soon after.
“We were taken by boat over to the beach where we had a traditional Tahitian ceremony performed by the local priest,” Megan, 27, says.
“We spent the next couple of days relaxing before embarking on the last stretch of our journey which was to a private island called Vahine island. After a few days here we then flew back to Heathrow. When home we arranged for a reception at Syon Park on 25th September where all our friends and family could attend to really cap off a truly life changing experience!”
One hundred friends and family attended the romantic glamorous wedding held in the London
“It truly was a once in a lifetime experience,” Megan says of the double wedding.
“We did not have just one wedding day, we had two plus a whole load of adventures and experiences along the way. We had the best of both worlds as we got a small intimate wedding in Bora Bora just the two of us and a big party with all our friends and family once we got home.”
