Kavita and Bobby brought the colour and style of India to their London home for their Rajasthan wedding.
The Indian-themed event was the first in a double celebration for Kavita and Bobby, 35, who met one sunny bank holiday eight years ago.
“We wanted our wedding to signify the coming together of two families and two cultures,” Kavita, 32, says.
The couple’s traditional celebrations were held across two days, coupled with a Western-style wedding from November 23, 25 and 26, 2016.
Three-hundred and eighty guests filled a backyard marquee with traditional activities such as henna tattoos and a night of dancing.
Kavita says despite the large guest list, it was important to have an intimate feel.
“For us a wedding is the coming together not just of two people, but of family and friends,” she says.
“Our wedding made our relationship not just with each other, but with most loved ones, eternally stronger.”

Laura Ritchie Designs put together the couple’s understated invitations. “My mum stumbled across Laura’s website and thank god she did, we loved the result, she understood us perfectly,” Kavita says.
The bride teamed her traditional two-piece gown with a touch of glamour – a pair of Jimmy Choos.
Dream Occasions helped to plan and style the big day. “We trusted them implicitly and they created unforgettable moments for us effortlessly,” Kavita says.
