London couple Tara and Edward kept strictly to their £10,000 budget, achieving the wedding of their dreams with no expenses spared says the bride.
During their two-year engagement, Tara and Edward decided upon their hometown to host their stylish city wedding. “London is our home, so it made sense to celebrate it there.”
The day had to be true to themselves and their relationship, spent with those they loved the most. Priorities lay with making the celebration stress-free, intimate and below £10,000.
Costs were kept minimal with the pair beginning their August 19, 2017 celebration with an intimate ceremony for nine at Chelsea Old Town Hall, immediately followed by a wedding breakfast at LUCA in Clerkenwell. Then, the wedding party grew to 60 guests in the evening for a drinks reception at Coq D’Argent rooftop bar in Bank.
“Our wedding was seamless, stress-free, selfless and honestly the best day of our lives, and our family and friends would agree!” laughs Tara. “I would not change a thing. I would do it all again as it was.”

“I knew I didn’t want the big white dress but something stylish and timeless.”
The London pair had always admired photos of 1960’s newlyweds walking down the steps at Chelsea Old Town Hall.
Tara and Edward hired the private dining room at LUCA, one of their favourite London restaurants, for their wedding breakfast immediately following their intimate ceremony.
