Sally Coombs and Andy Williams shared their love of the outdoors and their family and friends at their picture-perfect country rustic wedding in North Yorkshire.
Sally, 43, says she and Andy, 47, took the lead in creating the rustic venue of their dreams at Hilltop Farm, Ilton.
“We designed, made, put together everything ourselves. The whole day was ‘us’ 100 per cent,” she says.
They wed in a rustic-themed outdoor ceremony on August 29, 2015, with 40 guests perched on hay bales. The celebrations continued in one of the venue’s barns with 160 friends and family joining in the fun.
Lanterns hung from the roof and DIY bunting adorned the walls. Even the guests got in on the homemade theme, with relatives contributing to a cake table with a Bake Off theme.
“We wanted to celebrate our love with the things we love – North Yorkshire, outdoors and family and friends. Everyone smiled and laughed all day,” Sally says.
“We would not change a single thing. The day will stay with us forever. Even thinking about it now makes me smile!”

The bride and family and friends helped put together wedding flowers for the day. Sally carried a rustic bunch of corn up the aisle.
The couple spent plenty of time crafting their big day to ensure it was a true reflection of them.
Outdoor games kept guests entertained and enhanced the country atmosphere of the celebrations.
Sally has simple advice for future brides: “Do it how you want. Enjoy. Don’t stress,” she says.
