Teachers Kate and Rob have never been ones to like a fuss, so focused on a creating a relaxed and informal setting for their day.
Similarly, when Rob, 38, popped the question at home, it was typically low-key.
“Rob’s proposal was more of a quick question over dinner one night – I may have even been washing up!” Kate, 30, says.
Getting married in a country pub suited the Bradford pair down to the ground, and they held their woodland wedding at The Woodman Inn, Kirkburton, Huddersfield, on August 12, 2017.
Fifty family and friends joined in the celebrations, which kicked on at the same venue.
“With the help of family and friends, we feel that we created a fantastic day to celebrate our marriage and commitment to each other,” Kate says.
“We are very much looking forward to married life together.”

Rob wore a classic suit from Next Retail, while beautiful bride Kate wore a tea-length dress from Confetti & Lace.
Kate’s bridesmaids wore lavender dresses with lace shoulder detail.
“Our wedding was a very relaxed, informal day with no stress! A drinks reception before the ceremony meant that the bride saw the groom for a few drinks to add to the relaxed atmosphere – we loved it and know that our guests did too,” Kate says.
