Rebecca Braisby got exactly what she asked for when long-time partner Joseph Howard proposed.
The pair had been together since they were 15 and Becca, 26, was eager to make her way down the aisle.
“For years before I had always hinted to Joe, 'When are you going to propose? Even if it’s with a Haribo ring',” she recalls.
It was only fitting then that when Joe, 26, planned his Brighton beach proposal he presented his bride-to be with a ring box with a Haribo jelly ring inside.
“This made me laugh, cry and crumble all at the same time,” she says. “I did get the proper ring though after.”
The West Sussex couple had a two-and-a-half year engagement to ensure their festival wedding on June 28, 2014 was perfect. It was held at St James the Less Church in their home village in front of 140 friends and family.
The festival-themed celebrations continued at Northease Manor School, near Lewes, East Sussex.
“Our wedding ‘HowardFest’ was a perfect day and, with a festival theme, I think every guest went away with the taste of incredible food in their mouths, their ears (possibly) slightly ringing from the amazing music, with a snapshot from the taxi photo booth, their beer and beermat to keep, and the feeling of love and happiness from being a part of our special day,” Becca says.

"Joe is a crazy one sometimes, but I wouldn’t have him any other way, he is my soulmate and I love the bones of him," Becca says of her husband.
"Bex to me is more than I could of ever wished for, she is the brains of our relationship. She is my everyday motivation and what we have is something special," Joe says of his bride.
A decorated VW camper served as a quirky wedding car, while a red double decker bus was used to transport guests from the church to the venue.
A festival-like atmosphere was created for the reception at Northease Manor School.
Superstrings provided incredible live music all day before a DJ took over for the night time festivities.
Gelato, a hog roast and plenty of entertainment added to the festival atmosphere.
