Amy Gunter and Michael Dodds wouldn’t change a thing about their gorgeous country wedding.
The high school sweethearts wed in the stunning countryside of the Scottish Borders, combining tradition and a relaxed, rustic vibe in their big day.
“I wouldn’t change anything which is a really nice feeling,” Amy, 28, says.
Amy and Michael, 30, walked down the aisle at Clint Lodge, St Boswells on July 15, 2016 in front of 130 friends and family.
“Once we had visited Clint Lodge no other wedding venue compared. It was homely and relaxed with beautiful gardens,” Amy says.
Two-hundred guests enjoyed the evening celebrations, held in a marquee at the venue, which the Galashiels couple had worked to style themselves.
“We added lots of personal touches, photos, flowers, cups and saucers borrowed from family and collected from charity shops,” Amy says.
“Our wedding was everything we wanted, We wouldn’t change a thing. Surrounded by our family and friends for what was the most amazing day. From mingling in the beautiful gardens surrounded by the stunning Scottish Borders countryside to laughing and crying through the speeches and then dancing the whole night.”

Amy looked gorgeous in her fitted lace gown, while her bridesmaids were a picture in bright navy blue and the flower girl wore a blush pink dress.
Michael kept it traditional in his Scottish attire.
“I didn’t want anything too over the top or fussy,” Amy says of the couple’s wedding cake. “We decided on a three-tier rustic cake with cream icing and handmade roses made from icing with rosemary for decoration.”
