How We Met:

We met January 2006 at the Glenferrie hotel whilst Adam was the singer in the resident coverband on a Friday night. We met the first week and he asked me to come back the next week, so i did. I nearly didn't get in to the venue because I was still 17 and security wasn't convinced my I.D. was me, however after a little convincing I was let in and as they say, the rest is history.

The Proposal:

Adam proposed on New years Eve of 2009/10 in our hotel room overlooking the city. He kind of hand balled me the ring box after asking if I still wanted to marry him. It didn't take me long to say yes and jump into his arms!

Wedding Dress:

I bought my wedding dress a month after we got engaged without knowing when or where our wedding would even be! I walked in to the bridal shop that was at the end of our street (Carol Lyn) and bought the 2nd dress i tried on. It is a sheath style, white dress with a fitted beaded bodice, sweetheart neckline and flows from my hips with a slit up to my knee. I think my dress suited my body and style perfectly!

I wore a plain white finger tip veil and a white diamonte flower from Etsy and beautiful crystal earings from Georgini and a silver diamond bangle from prouds.

Groom's Attire:

The boys hired their suits from Formal wear express. The groomsmen wore black suits, white shirts and a black tie and the groom wore the same suit and shirt but with a silver tie. The colors worked beautifully together!

The bridesmaids wore black knee length cocktail dresses with a V-neck and back and crystals on the shoulders and waist. I bought the girls dresses off Ebay and they worked out perfectly!

Wedding Theme:

Our wedding theme was black and white with a hint of glam. I tried to make it as simple and elegant as possible. I am a strong believer of less is more and i think our theme was very tasteful.

We had white rose bouquets with black berries throughout aswell as white rose button holes and coursages for the boys and parents.

Ceremony Reception Decor

Our ceremony was held in the beautiful gardens of Chateau Wyuna underneath the pergola so we didn't need to decorate. Our venua was also held at Chateau Wyuna in the naturally beautiful and rustic burgundy room. Our tables were decorated with a round mirror supported a long stemmed wine glass candle holder, surrounded by tea light candles and clear acrylic table scatters, white table cloth, black napkins, black chair covers and white sashes. It was very elegant.

We hired a white stretch limo for both the boys and girls from red carpet limousines.

Personalised chocolate bars from H's cupcakes.

Our cake was absolutely AMAZING! My bridesmaid maid it for us, it was a white chocolate rasberry swirl mud cake from Bella frosting.

Our venue supplied our DJ. He was great, played all the right music.

We went on a 9 night cruise to the South Pacific with P&O

Special Moments:

I was so nervous arriving at the ceremony, my bridesmaids had to keep reminding me to smile. As soon as the music started and I was walking down the aisle towards my husband, suddenly everything disappeared and all i saw was him and the rest was just background noise. He looked so happy to see me and we spent the entire ceremony holding hands, whispering into each others ear, laughing and then we were married!

If you don't have a videographer, you have to at least ask a friend to film the ceremony for you. We didn't hire a videographer but Adam was thoughtful enough to ask one of our guests to film and the footage was amazing! The day goes so fast and by the time we came home from our honeymoon, it was beginning to be a distant memory. I love looking back on the footage of our wedding, it's a nice little reminder of what was truly the most magical day of our lives.
