Starting as early as the proposal, Kate and Tim’s intimate vintage wedding involved their closest friends and family.
“Tim proposed in Oxford Botanic Gardens – it involved my closest girl friends which made it so special. Afterwards, he took us for champagne in the city where everyone else was waiting to celebrate with us,” recalls Kate, now 31.
When it came to planning their wedding, the Oxfordshire pair agreed priorities lay with having good food, good drink and a fabulous party atmosphere.
On October 25, 2017 Kate and Tim, 34, wed with 84 guests in attendance at Dewsall Court in Herefordshire.
Close friends and family were involved in the festivities, with three performing readings at the ceremony and others acting as florist, officiant, makeup artist and usher.
“It was a team effort. Most people at our wedding could point to something they had contributed to, and they loved that.”
Kate and Tim achieved their goal of a fantastic party atmosphere, with several older-generation guests kicking off their heels and tearing up the dance floor.
“Our wedding was full of warmth, good food, good wine and bad dancing. It was brilliant.”

“The bodice was sewn with thousands of tiny seed pearls and gold lace, and I totally fell for the drama of the full open back and train,” Kate says of her gown.
Kate says her incredible chapel-length veil from Ellie Sanderson pulled her whole bridal look together.
Self-confessed savoury people, Kate and Tim opted for a cheese tower in place of the traditional wedding cake.
