In planning their big day, Cambridge couple Natalie and Chris knew they wanted something quintessentially English.
“We also knew we would like classic features, with elegance,” Natalie, 32, says.
Natalie and Chris, 31, found Hengrave Hall in the Suffolk countryside and it was the perfect match for their classic English wedding.
A grand hall at the venue hosted the couple’s love-filled ceremony in front of 110 guests on June 2, 2018.
“I will never forget seeing Chris at the altar, the emotion in him literally filled me with more
emotion than I have ever experienced. So much love in one room, and so much love for one
another,” Natalie says.
The celebrations continued on at the venue, with guests taking advantage of the beautiful grounds.
“Part of the reason I fell in love with this venue was due to the outdoor space,” the bride says.
“Seeing everyone enjoying it really did just fill me with so much happiness. It was exactly as I had hoped and dreamed.”

Natalie discovered her dress at The Bespoke Wardrobe. “They knew what to suggest for me to try, and the dress I chose was one I had disregarded from looking at it on the rail! The designer was Suzanne Neville, who in the process I got to meet and she drew me a bespoke drawing of my dress!”
Natalie paired her dress with a belt from the designer and comfy heels from Rachel Simpson.
Natalie and Chris met through mutual friends in Cambridge and Chris popped the question on a romantic trip to Rio de Janeiro.
“Our wedding really was the highlight of the summer (and our lives!) for our families and friends. It was thoroughly enjoyed by not just us but them too,” Natalie says.
Milsom Weddings took care of catering for the classic English wedding, with Vanilla Cake Design creating a grand four-tiered wedding cake.
