Couple find ‘perfect match’ in photographer for classic city wedding

Sophie and John, aged 27 and 32 respectively, originally wanted a rustic-barn wedding, but were limited by venues on offer to them.

“We drove past Oh Me Oh My in Liverpool and spotted what looked like wedding guests, standing outside of the venue. Sophie quickly got on Instagram and found the venue and straight away got a feel for the place,” explains groom John. “Soon after we went to view Oh Me Oh My and met our lovely wedding coordinator. She was a dream from the start to the big day and we felt so happy knowing all our ideas were understood.”

The couple weren’t sure at first if they would hire a photographer, but now say it was the best decision of all for their day on August 19, 2017. “We had the most amazing day and our photographs really capture how we were feeling at the time which is lovely to look back on,” said John. Their photographer Rachel Ryan said the couple’s relaxed style was a perfect fit. “I believe that photography should document the day and not dominate it. This is exactly what Sophie and John wanted and so we were a perfect match.”

Sophie’s romantic makeup look was the perfect pairing with her lace gown and rose bouquet.

“We realised the perfect venue for us was right under our nose in the city that we both love so much, the city were we met, Liverpool,” explains John.

“We knew from the beginning we wanted a relaxed, informal type of day and just couldn’t wait to have all of our nearest and dearest in the same room,” smiles the groom.
