Picking up women 101: pretend to be dancing alone.
Leanne George, 27, was wooed by Chris Oram, 30, at their local nightclub Jumpin’ Jaks, not with cool dance moves, but a lonely one. “Chris tried all his moves to get me to dance with him, even pretending he was all alone on the dance floor with no-one to dance with, which all worked well,” smiles Leanne.
During a holiday in New York, the pair travelled to Philadelphia to see Chris’ favourite movie location The Rocky Steps. “We did a run of our own on a complete high, which prompted Chris to do the most memorable romantic gesture ever… he proposed,” explains Leanne. “We felt like we were on top of the world!”
The couple married at their vintage wedding on July 24, 2016, which they proudly saved for over two years. “What makes this whole experience special to us is that we can look back on this day with a sense of pride and joy, as we put everything into this with little help asked,” says Leanne. “We believe this is what defines us a couple. We work hard for us.”

Chris surprised Leanne on the morning of their wedding with a necklace. The bride had struggled to find the perfect one.
The groom was dressed in a navy suit and brown shoes from Debenhams Retail.
The couple married at The Beaulieu Hotel. “It’s a beautifully secluded hotel in the heart of the new forest,” says the bride.
The bridesmaids had to have the gowns altered in the weeks before the day after going on a pre-wedding health kick!
