Oxnead Hall

Oxnead Hall is an elegant Grade II* listed building comprising the original servants’ wing of the Great House. Built for Admiral Sir Clement Paston in the late 16th Century, the Estate is currently owned by the Aspinall family.

Oxnead Hall as it stands now provides a variety of exquisite facilities for a day you will never want to forget. The Barn, with its striking oak beams, makes for an understated yet impressive space. The Long Room leading from the picturesque courtyard is ideal for more intimate occasions. The Orangery overlooking the gardens and river is an exquisite daytime and evening venue, while for larger numbers of over 200 guests, the South Lawn lends itself perfectly to a Marquee celebration.

As your guests enter the Oxnead Hall Estate the grandeur of the Hall and Gardens will never fail to impress. Set in just under 14 acres of stunning grounds, it is hard to imagine a more idyllic wedding venue. There are immaculate formal gardens with an ornamental box hedging maze, a romantic walled kitchen herb garden, separate folly and beautiful lawns that sweep down to the banks of the river Bure flowing through the grounds and woodlands, all creating a magnificent backdrop. There is beauty to be found in all seasons.

For your wedding you have the choice of a Church ceremony in the beautiful Church of St Michael set in the estate grounds, or St Andrew in the nearby village of Buxton.
