There has been a restaurant at this superb venue for over forty years. From its early days as tea rooms, it has grown to become what is now Peruga at Woodheys.
Tasty, wholesome and honest food makes up the menus we offer. From beer battered fish with hand cut chips to pan fried English fillet steak there is something for everyone here!
With our fantastic value set menu running during the week alongside our week long A la carte menu you can pick and choose and mix and match until the stars come out over the Cheshire plains, which is a wonderfully relaxing view following what can only be described as breath taking sunsets and unparalleled vistas!

Our dedicated team of chefs have created a wonderful � la carte menu and we have seasonal specials available every week with starters such as Parma ham & fig salad and main courses of Pan seared marlin with chorizo & parsley dauphinoise.

Sylvain and I just wanted to send you an email thanking you once again for the wonderful wedding we had at Peruga!
From coming up to have a look round, right through to the day itself, we couldn’t have been happier with the professional and personal service you provided. Nowadays, the fashion seems to be to have weddings in large hotels or country houses, which are often very generalised, making it hard to tailor the day to the bride & groom’s wishes. In our opinion, what you offer at Peruga is incomparable.
Our main wish when planning the wedding was to have something a little different from the norm, that catered for all our friends and family. You let us have a lot of input on what we wanted, and coped brilliantly with the complications and double nationality wedding can present.
The food was outstanding on all accounts, the service excellent, and all the staff couldn’t have been more professional.
We would especially like to thank yourself and John. Your help during the planning stages was indispensable. Each time that we had a problem or question, a phone call was all that was needed to have the answer there and then. On the night John ensured that everything ran smoothly and was constantly one step ahead and always there to answer any questions we had.
All our comments have been echoed by our guests, and we cannot thank you enough.

We thanked you in person but we also wanted to thank you in a more formal way for the professional way in which you hosted and provided the food for Clare and Matthew’s wedding reception.
The venue was all that anyone could desire….lovely long views across the valley and a beautiful garden in the immediate vicinity; all of which can be enjoyed, even on a rainy day, from inside the restaurant.
The food was excellent; reflecting the ideas of the bride and groom and the experience and flexibility of the chef…and all within a reasonable and agreed budget.
Many of our guests commented upon the quality of the food and also upon the discrete and professional way in which the Peruga staff served at table and responded to individual needs.
All the generations from babies to grandmas were catered for ….and the young (and not so young) who enjoyed dancing and really enjoyed themselves.
Our international guests had a very favourable impression of Derbyshire and of how we can party!
