My wife and I had our wedding reception in the Grand Hall early November. Firstly I would like to say we had a 1st class experience and our guests commented constantly through out the night on how excellent the venue, service and food was. The venue: The grand hall is a stunning space, easy to dress and create a fantastic vibe. We used the room next to the grand hall for our drinks reception before hand where there is a stunning bar area. The entrance has had a reshuffle and is clear and open on arrival with the staircase in front which is great for photos. They also recently renovated the toilets which is a plus. The staff I have to say have been amazing, we hired direct which meant food etc was supplied by the GCR. Amber was our point of contact and planner, whilst she wasnt able to be there on the day she didnt miss a beat in our planning, any issues where resolved, we could meet as often as we needed and the handover she left to staff on the evening was exceptional. On the day Kat had everything in hand and was always one step ahead whilst Andreas kept the bar running very smoothly and his staff where always on hand. Regarding the staff, the white glove dinner service was exceptional, the bar always had 3 or 4 staff ready to take orders and at no point did a guest struggle to get service. The food was first class, we particularly liked that we could give our guests a meat, fish or veggy option and we opted for the lamb and sea bass options which they cooked to perfection.

Excellent venue. There are lots of rooms available ranging in size. The rooftop terrace is spectacular, a real hidden gem. Canapé buffet was lovely. The drawing room got a little hot, but was easily adjusted on feedback to staff. Also in a great location for guests with plenty of transport options.

Overall Grand Connaught is a stunning venue and I do not have a single complaint or moan. I absolutely adore the venue and the staff that helped me throughout the wedding. The staff are professional, friendly and always trying their best to meet the client’s needs. Thank you so much for everything! I have had great guest feedback and a lot of people are also looking to book the venue for their weddings.

Definitely the feel of a Grand Banquet Hall with a large central staircase leading up to it and all the backup facilities of a large hotel. It was an Indian wedding which handled a large audience and all the lavish catering comfortably. Very easy to reach just 3 mins walk from Holborn underground station.

I recommend The Royal Regency. It is outstanding in all aspects from food, service to decor. The chandeliers are grand and wouldn't look out of place in a royal palace. The friendly approach and amazing ambience is it what makes it a class above anything else.
