The spectacular mansion was built in the centre of the park in the mideighteenth century by wealthy merchant Samuel Farmer. It was later extended by the English architecture and Garden designer, Jeffry Wyattville at the beginning of the 19th century, in the Tudor Gothic style it can be seen in today. The interior clearly captures the imagination of English Heritage; the ground floor has described as “a fine enfilade of principal rooms with wide interconnecting doors for entertaining”, reinforcing the mansions’s fitting nature as a wedding venue. This property is set within 300 acres including wall gardens within manicured grounds and parkland. Nonsuch Mansion is the perfect location for a truly special day. The venue is licensed to hold ceremonies within The Orchid Room. This room boasts a wondrous fireplace, magnificent stained glass window backdrop and a triple bay window with adequate space for an extra long aisle – the perfect opportunity to showcase that drop dead gorgeous wedding dress! Alternatively, if opting for a traditional religious ceremony, they are happy to recommend one of the lovely churches which are just a short distance away from the mansion.
