South Farm

South Farm is an enchanting and distinctly different venue for romantic country weddings, special family parties and celebrations, and memorable corporate events. Wedding Ceremonies are conducted outdoors in the Summer House, in the Tudor Barn, the Old Dairy and the Drawing Room. Guests enjoy exclusive use of the whole property.

The beautiful old farmhouse of Tudor origins flanks a fine barnyard of three ancient listed timber framed barns, a granary, old dairy, hovels and stables, all lovingly restored, and home to our friendly rare breed farm animals. Idyllic gardens encircle the buildings giving way to a productive organic smallholding, a nature reserve and woodland, 30 acres in all.

The property lies in the heart of the countryside on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire borders. It is ideally located for Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, the A1 and M11 corridors and only 37 minutes by train to London. Stansted and Luton airports are only 35 minutes away or Heathrow 70 minutes.

Our home for over 35 years is now an eco-friendly family enterprise. It combines a perfect setting with superb cooking, an amazing range of year round home grown produce, very flexible service and complete privacy.

We can seat up to 140 guests for a formal Wedding Breakfast, 180 for civil Wedding Ceremonies and 250 for a party, more by adding a marquee. With a luxurious Bridal Suite, 4 additional bedrooms and a unique fleet of Romany caravans and Showman’s wagons we can accommodate up to 24 guests with any number of campers welcome too.
