The Greenwich Yacht Club Wedding Venue, is London’s hidden riverside wedding venue gem. The club boasts 2 starkly different venues. With an abundance of natural daylight, the river views and large outdoor decking mean that the River Rooms are a popular choice for wedding celebrations. However, we feel the venue really comes to life when the sun goes down to watch London’s Skyline light up.
Nestled between the O2 Arena and The Thames Barrier, with stunning panoramic river views taking in the Millennium Dome and the Olympic Park you can feel miles from London and be only 3 stops from London bridge station.

However, we feel the venue really comes to life when the sun goes down and the twinkling lights of the river increase and London’s Skyline lights up.
The Clubhouse is the only venue built “in” the Thames, raised on stilts with a bridge leading to a 2 story glass house. Views that rival anywhere in London make this an oasis from which to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. It's for this reason that the Greenwich Yacht Club is so popular for couples looking for a unique London venue.
Our bespoke wedding packages give you the opportunity to create the day you've always dreamed of having. All Greenwich Yacht Club events are managed by the professional events team at The Willo Project Ltd so you'll have a helping hand from start to finish, allowing you to enjoy the excitement of your fast approaching special day.

From 9am on the day of your wedding until 2am (bar service and music to finish at 1am).
Yes, dried rose petals/biodegradable confetti inside only.
We have a private pontoon that you can use free of charge. We don’t hire boats but there are plenty of companies that do. Please ask the events team for more information.
The registrars for our wedding venue in Greenwich are Greenwich Registry Office. You can contact them on 020 8921 5015.
We strongly suggest that you take as much as you can with you on the night but if there is too much then we can arrange a time the following day for you to pick up the rest.
We have two venues, the Clubhouse and the River Rooms so it is possible that we could have two events on the same day but don’t worry extra staff will be on hand to direct guests to the right venue.
Candles and tea lights are permitted for your tables so long as they are in a sturdy candle holder.
We do not allow fireworks or Chinese lanterns at Greenwich Yacht Club.
Greenwich Yacht Club has up to 30 spaces at our wedding venue, all complimentary on site for your guests to use on the day.
We do permit corkage on wine and fizz but no other beverages. All other beverages must be purchased and consumed at Greenwich Yacht Club. Corkage is £10 per bottle opened.
We are here to run your wedding day exactly as you want it. Traditionally you will sit down for your Wedding Breakfast before cutting the cake and making speeches however to ease nerves you can always do them before the meal!
We have put together a list of fantastic caterers for you to choose from. We know this list will satisfy all styles, tastes and budgets. Please contact them directly to discuss your wedding catering.
We do offer a poser table and cloth with 60cm diameter and a cake knife at no extra charge.
We request a £500 deposit to confirm your date, 100% of the total balance is due 10 days prior to your day once final numbers have been confirmed.
The deposit is not refundable under any circumstances.
Our caterers have slightly differing policies when it comes to tasting so please speak to them directly.
For photography, decoration and entertainment you can use any suppliers they provide the venue with a copy of their public liability insurance. It’s your day and we understand it’s got to be perfect so we are here to help if you need recommendations or advice.
Greenwich has a wide variety of hotels and some lovely B&Bs please ask the venue manager for options.
Both our venues comply with all government regulations and are suitable for wheelchairs.
We will provide you with coat rails for your guests but if you would like them manned then there would be a charge for the staff member.
We do not have hot drink facilities so please ask you caterer to provide the hot drinks for after the meal.
We do have limited internet access for up to 5 devices.
We stop serving drinks and playing music at 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
