The perfect venue for a perfect celebration, The Bear’s weddings are unrivalled in the Vale of Glamorgan. Your wedding venue could be our traditional Georgian Ballroom with high ceilings and chandeliers, or our modern St Quentin’s Suite, which has its own private courtyard.

Weddings are special times, and we work hard to offer the perfect wedding location for your Civil Ceremony, Civil Partnership and Wedding Breakfast Reception, while the courtyards provide excellent photographic opportunities, or visit the beautiful Physic Gardens, just across the High Street.

Our experienced team of wedding co-ordinators will help bring your wedding ideas to life. As well as making the most of our experience in wedding planning, you may also hire our black or white chair covers, chocolate fountain, starlight curtain backdrop and our fabulous 1920s Ice Cream Tricycle.

Please could you thank all your team for being so helpful from the start to the end of our wedding on the 25th July 2015. No matter what I asked both you and your team have gone out of your way to help achieve a perfect and memorable day for Simon, myself and our guests - A day we will never forget for ever (I hope). The start of the day went so slow but before I knew it the end came - I just wish it could be groundhog day so that next time I could slow it down a bit to be able to take in the bits that I missed.

A somewhat belated but heartfelt thank you to all at The Bear Hotel for a simply wonderful Wedding Breakfast . The whole day was absolutely marvellous, food ,wine and festivities all tip top. The guests remarked on the very special welcome, and first class quality service delivered throughout the day until the early hours. Speaking for myself it proved such a memorable day I would be delighted to press re run and enjoy it for a second time! On the morning after the wedding it was great to share reminiscences with friends and family over breakfast, I am sorry I didn’t have enough time to savour the four poster delightful bed room . May I make special mention of the” jewel in the crown “ in terms of exceptional staff, Helen Price, she really is in a class of her own, a joy to work with and her seemingly magic way of looking after ones every need. We are so pleased to have chosen The Bear for our Wedding Venue, it proved a real Market Town atmosphere, traditional with the best of everything. The photos are superb, including ones in the small courtyard and in the Sale Ring at the market ! Congratulations to all involved.
