Me and my husband got married here on August 1st 2015. The whole process from start to finish was seamless and the staff could not do more to help us. All of our requests were met for our big day.
The hotel is set in the more rural part of Telford and therefore allows for fantastic views and scenery from every angle of the hotel, making all room views beautiful. The hotel itself is full of character, and I agree with a previous review having likened the setting to something from Harry Potter! It's eccentric and unique and certainly met our rustic themed wedding. When looking for other wedding venues we found them all too clinical, that's where The Hundred House breaks the mold. So much character in such a quaint, little place. We were married in the Tithe Barn, which can be decorated to suit your theme or style - anything goes within reason! There is also a lovely little church just over the road should you wish for a church wedding, and wedding breakfast and a reception back at the Hundred House.
I honestly don't think the day would have gone any smoother anywhere else. We had a fairly small wedding with a max guest amount of 100 people in total. But the barn can cater for far more and they are flexible on numbers.
We had most of our photographs in the herb gardens, which are simply stunning and allow for some truly beautiful timeless photographs to be taken.
The food is just out of this world - absolutely delicious! There is lots of choice for your wedding menu and, again, nothing is too much trouble.
HIGHLY recommended for a perfect, picturesque and romantic wedding day filled with character.
Me and my wife got married Saturday 29th august 2015 and all I can give is praise to the hundred house staff for the way they conducted themselves throughout the day. You are made to feel 100% welcome at this cute and characterful venue and nothing is too much bother for the excellent team.
Deanne was our wedding organiser and she was outstanding. The reason I say that is because she put up with me for months on end of constantly phoning and e mailing with numerous questions. Deanne makes you feel relaxed and takes care of all the little bits and pieces exceptionally well that you would expect from a wedding organiser.
The day ran smoothly with Deanne organising drinks in the garden then after photo's we headed into the barn for our wonderful wedding breakfast which was beautiful and all our guests commented on how nice the food was. We headed back into the garden after the breakfast to allow the staff to change the room for the evening and allow the band to set up for the evening entertainment.
The accommodation at this place is phenomenal. The rooms are so quirky and everyone loved them. Just a shame there are only 9 rooms but we knew that before we booked it.
The breakfast the next day was gorgeous as expected from the hundred house and service was faultless yet again.
I must finish up with how wonderful the hundred house looks with its gardens. They all create wonderful photo opportunities and the flower garden is beautiful. I am currently looking through some old wedding pictures which made me remember to leave a review and the gardens truly do look beautiful. Our wedding videographer said these were the best gardens he had been in to do his work over the years.
If you are thinking of having your wedding at the hundred house I 100% recommend it. They will make your day stress free and you will take away memories of just how good the staff were.
A massive thank you to Deanne and all the staff at the hundred house that made our day exceptional.
