After being inaccessible to most members of the general public for over 60 years this sleeping giant is finally opening up to the wide world.

Wentworth Woodhouse, the largest privately-owned house in Europe, is finally awaking from its slumber. Two houses of totally different architectural styles built by The First Marquess of Rockingham between 1725 & 1750, the west front of the house in the baroque style & the east front in the later palladian style.

Wentworth Woodhouse offers you one of THE finest event venues in the UK – wedding receptions, private celebrations & corporate events are all welcome, & the team at Dine Events have been working with Wentworth Woodhouse to ensure whatever the occasion, it will be special.

Wedding Receptions - you & your guests can access the house for photographs and the initial drinks reception before hosting the wedding breakfast in a marquee on the lawn, right outside the house.

Private & Corporate Events - as well as marquees, there is the option to host dinners (no dancing) in the main house from 10 – 300 guests.

We had the privilege of being married at Wentworth Woodhouse on September 7 2013. It was the most amazing day of our lives. We had our blessing in the painted drawing room, drank champagne in the pillared hall, had canapes in the marble room and our wedding breakfast in the whistle jacket room. My mother and father had taken me and my two siblings to Wentworth to look at this magnificent house since we were small children. I gazed longingly from the fence for over five decades just wishing that one day I would finally be allowed inside. My prayers were answered and on my 60th birthday I married my husband Stephen there with all my family and close friends in attendance. I cannot thank Mr Mrs Newbould enough for allowing me to have my dream wedding. It was a day that will live with me forever.
