Wedding Venue Snapshot:
- Dry hire venue, meaning you can bring in your own caterers - Former Welsh Presbyterian Chapel with original organ - 15 minute walk from Paddington Train Station - Capacities up to 160 on banqueting tables and 150 on rounds - Wedding ceremony licence for 120 guests - Affordable venue hire from just 2,300 GBP - Two function spaces included (the Upper and Lower Hall) - Exclusive hire of the venue available
The Amadeus is adaptable and flexible. The Upper Hall’s large elegant windows with stained glass borders provide wonderful natural illumination. The original pipe organ, wood panelled balcony and graceful Victorian architecture complete the impressive effect. It typically holds 180 guests for dining.
The smaller Lower Hall (seating 80) is a tranquil white space with a brick vaulted ceiling, columns and white wooden floor. Originally the chapel crypt, it also makes for a very special blessing ceremony. Both halls have excellent acoustics and sound insulation.
An ideal combination is to hold a drinks reception in the Lower Hall followed by the wedding breakfast in the Upper Hall, with a disco or band in either hall afterwards.
Book one or both halls, choose from our award winning caterers, or if you prefer provide you own chef for the day. Whatever you decide for your perfect wedding, a wedding reception at The Amadeus is guaranteed to make your day stand out in a space and with a service that is as unique and individual as you.

A lovely London wedding venue for a wedding ceremony and/or wedding reception. It is great if you are having a band as you and your guests can wait downstairs at the bar while they set up in the main room. Friendly and helpful staff.
We had our wedding reception at The Amadeus and Amber and Wardi were a dream to deal with from Day 1. They responded to emails in record time, were very accommodating to our many requests, and were lovely to deal with throughout. The venue looked stunning on the day and we loved having a blank canvas to work with so that our reception could really reflect our unique personalities. We also loved having two spaces (the Upper Hall and the Lower Hall) to work with so that we could create two different atmospheres. Thank you again to everyone at The Amadeus for a wonderful night!
My husband and I recently held our wedding reception at The Amadeus. The venue is beautiful and also a great space to create something bespoke, helping it to feel less 'corporate' than many other similar places. There are very few restrictions compared to other similar venues. We found this refreshing. We particularly liked that they do not charge a corkage fee for sourcing your own alcohol. We found the staff to be supremely professional and helpful, it felt that nothing was too much trouble. They were all very easy to deal with and bent over backwards to help us in anyway they could. The venue can get quite hot (our wedding was on the 1st July), however, there are big industrial fans at hand to help to cool the space and these were quite effective once turned on. I would definitely recommend The Amadeus to anyone looking for a party venue space.
