Easy Weddings Wedding Venues London

St George's Garrison Church Woolwich

6 +

OVERVIEW

A unique and historical wedding venue space which could accommodate wedding parties of up to 180 people.

The Church would be an unforgettable, unique and historical place to celebrate your wedding.

The decision has been taken to accommodate no more than 6 weddings a year, making this a very exclusive venue for your special day.

The Italianate Church built for the Royal Artillery in 1865 was largely destroyed by a V1 flying bomb in June 1944. The east end, including the VC memorial and the famous Venetian mosaics have survived and been restored by specialised craftsmen.

There is now a magnificent arched tensile canopy roof over the east end of the Church. The main body of the Church is presently a memorial garden, which would need to be covered by a marquee for weddings. We have a recommended local supplier that we work with to provide this service.

The whole complex is listed Grade ll and we are opposite the great facade of Woolwich Barracks on Grand Depot Road.

With our newly planted garden beginning to bloom, we are confident you will not be disappointed.
