Sitting on the edge of Alfriston, one of England’s prettiest villages, Deans Place was established over 100 years ago. Originally a vast farming estate dating back to the 14th Century, Deans Place became a privately owned hotel at the beginning of the 20th Century.

Deans Place is set in four acres of beautiful gardens, with glorious views of the South Downs, backing onto the River Cuckmere. Our exclusive packages give you and your guests the whole hotel, grounds and all 32 bedrooms for your wedding day and includes a professional toastmaster.

Licensed for ceremonies both indoors and outdoors you can exchange your vows in the Wedding Garden under the gazebo, or in one of our two beautiful function suites that enjoy views of the surrounding landscape.

Whilst guests enjoy drinks on the lawn in the summer or by the roaring fireplaces in the winter, there are endless photo opportunities within our grounds and nearby, including striking cliffs, picturesque Alfriston Village, along the River Cuckmere or on the rolling South Downs.

From a traditional wedding breakfast to a bespoke theme, we can bring your dream to life!

Our largest room, The Alfriston Suite offers magnificent views of the South Downs and surrounding landscape and can accommodate up to 110 guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 200 guests for your evening reception.
