Perfect Venue for an intimate wedding… Beautiful setting for our winter wedding in February 2015, all our guests had a lovely time & we have received numerous compliments on the food & choice of venue. The menu tasting session before the wedding was a lovely indulgent touch & made picking our wedding breakfast choices easier after sampling a few items from the long list. The honeymoon suite with the gigantic bed, elegant mirrors & comfy sofas was lovely to get ready in with my bridesmaids on the morning of the wedding. The staff were great, answered all my questions in the run up to the big day (we booked a year in advance so there were plenty of questions from this inquisitive bride to be let me tell you!) We went over the night before the wedding to set the tables with place cards, centrepieces, candles etc & the staff were very keen that every detail was to our specification. Our photographer was accommodated really well by the staff on the day, down to the days itinerary being planned around pictures being taken after the ceremony. Smiling for all the pics was tiring but not to fear as i turned round & a member of staff had thoughtfully brought me a glass of ice cold water. There are several different areas to get some great shots – we’re really pleased with the sample selection we have seen from our photographer so far. The rooms for the ceremony/reception are the perfect setting for big or small intimate weddings like ours & with other rooms available to stay over there’s ample rooms for your guests from further afield. We enjoyed all having breakfast (cereal, fruit & of course the full english for those guests who had indulged in a few too many celebratory drinks haha!) together the following morning & chatting about the wedding. We loved it so much we have booked in for dinner & another stay in the beautiful honeymoon suite for our first wedding anniversary next year. Thank you again for making our big day so special.
