Overview

Our luxury country house is available on an exclusive hire basis for your wedding day with our wonderful ground floor layout and 15 guest bedrooms at your disposal.

The magnificent house holds up to 130 guests for a ceremony and wedding breakfast, with up to 250 guests for an evening reception. Smaller weddings are hosted wonderfully in one of our smaller reception rooms and you will still have the house exclusively however intimate your guest list.

During the day you will be looked after by our small but highly experienced family team with friendly and personal service.

Getting ready in the bridal sitting room gets your day off to a lovely start. Overlooking the Douglas Valley and gardens, it is peaceful, elegant and very practical with sofas, dressing tables and dress hooks. It is yours for the night for relaxing and touching up your makeup!

We had our wedding here on 31Oct15. I cannot praise all the staff at the hotel enough. A special thank you must go to Carol and Mark who are absolutely amazing and not just on the day - at every stage of the process - they are always there to help. They take all the pressure off you - and NOTHING is too much for them. Their knowledge is incredible and they can give you pointers for everything wedding, including recommending fantastic suppliers for your wedding day. We used suppliers recommended by the hotel for everything and the suppliers liaise direct with the hotel to smooth the way for you to enjoy your day. The food at our wedding was out of this world and all our guests were amazed at the venue and the standard provided. Our guests were blown away! We could not have chosen a better venue for our fantastic day and this hotel beats, in every category, any wedding venue here in the South!! Thank you to everyone at Ashfield House!

We had our wedding reception here on 22/08/2015. Throughout our 18 months of planning our wedding the venue was constantly renovating and we were so excited at the prospect of being able to welcome our guests to such a beautiful venue. Ashfield House surpassed all our expectations in terms of support throughout the planning process and on the day itself. The staff were so friendly and helpful and we cannot thank Carol enough. The food on the day was amazing and the restaurant looked beautiful for our wedding breakfast. We are very grateful to Ashfield House for giving us a wedding day we will never forget.
