Old Billingsgate is a striking historic building that is a remarkable part of London’s heritage. This Victorian Grade II listed building was once a world famous fish market, running up until 1982. The Grand Hall, which now holds varying events, was the market floor, and the basement of Old Billingsgate, now The Vault, was covered in 50 years of ice used to store the fishermen’s catch. Given an industrial twist, the building has undergone an amazing transformation, from the 19th century’s largest fish market to London’s premier event space.

At this impressive wedding venue you can find three unique spaces; The Grand Hall, The Vault and The Gallery, which are available to hire separately or in conjunction with each other so there is plenty of room for your event to grow. There’s also a beautiful terrace with unrivalled views of Tower Bridge, City Hall, The Shard and London Bridge.

As a blank canvas space the opportunities are endless! The versatility and size of the distinctive building makes Old Billingsgate the perfect location for all types and sizes of weddings or any other private event.

Old Billingsgate is a massive event space in the city of London. It has good views of Thames River as it sits at the bank of the river and equally sits between two underground train stations (Monument underground station and London Bridge Station) which are just few minutes walking distances. It is ideal for conferences, wedding reception, seminar etc. It is convertible space. Amazing place to host events and conferences.

Beautiful old building, now mainly used for events, parties, conferences. Stylish, respectful, very English. Vault floor have a James Bond movie scene vibe. Beautiful location on the Thames river.

The building is big enough to host conference, party, wedding or any other event for lots of people. The building itself is the old fish market which adds to the feeling of enormous old architecture. As the building is facing the river, the view is unforgettable.

Good size hall with large stage for a band. Hall was split in 2 halves so one half had many tables with a bar. And the other half had large sofas, standing tables and another bar. Toilet facilities and nice and clean. And large serviced cloakroom. Venue had approximately 600 people or more. There was also a fire exit for smokers to go out near riverbank, view of the shard.

Great venue. Welcome drinks on the veranda, dining in the great hall, followed by a retreat to the bar area. We were treated to a fabulous live band - plenty of space on the dance floor. Staff were brilliant and very attentive. Super organised and very professional.
