I love the fact that photography is both art and science. I’ve worked in and around Hull and East Yorkshire for many years, offering a range of photographic services that include weddings, portraiture and general commercial work, as well as landscape and travel photography. Whilst my base near Beverley means that I usually operate in and around the Yorkshire region, I am happy to work further afield in the UK and abroad.

From my early attempts to capture images as a child with my first camera, through spending countless hours in a darkroom developing black and white prints while studying at university, to the present day – photography has always fascinated me. Despite advances in digital photography and the ability to automate so many camera functions, it’s still about trying to communicate a moment in time – ensuring good composition and paying attention to detail – all before the shutter is released.

Wedding photography has to be the antithesis of the solitary pursuit of the landscape or wildlife image and tests the versatility of any photographer - where personality and good composition are needed in equal measure.

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life.
