A Leigh Hetherington Bridal wear was established in 2001. It is a friendly and relaxed wedding boutique situated in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne at 7 Old Eldon Square. Our fully trained and knowledgeable assistants are available to guide you through our beautiful wedding dress collections by British dress designer Leigh Hetherington. The wedding boutique also offers dresses by Wtoo by Watters.
Leigh Hetherington Bridal Wear has been established for over 14 years and in this time has provided many brides with beautiful and memorable wedding dresses. Our in house designer Leigh Hetheringon is available by appointment to discuss bespoke designs for wedding dresses and occasion wear.
All of the Leigh Hetherington dresses are made to measure enabling the client to choose from the collection or create a bespoke dress specifically for herself. From start to finish Leigh spends time with each client, working through the designs, fabrics and detailing.
When a design is chosen, the client will be measured to enable Leigh and her team to create a paper pattern. This pattern will then be used to make a toile. The toile is a cotton mock up of the dress that will be used to fit to the client. When the toile has been fitted and both the client and Leigh are satisfied with the fit and design, the dress will then be cut.
The client will need approximately two further fittings in the chosen fabrics. Dresses are worked upon for up to two weeks befor the clients event.
