Those Finishing Touches (TFT) was originated by Gillian Smith who has been crafting bespoke cakes since the late 1970's. She is fully insured, qualified and professionally trained in various sugar-craft techniques passing college modules with distinctions.

Gill has had an artistic flair since childhood, having had some of her drawings and paintings on show throughout the city schools and libraries, and designing and making beautiful wedding gowns for friends and family in her earlier years.

Her artistic nature turned to cake designing and making in 1977 and in later years returned to college to perfect her art before founding the company.

Today Gill is a highly sought-after cake maker and runs her own successful Cake Design and Production business from Holme Lane, Hillsborough, Sheffield, remaining personally involved in every cake made by TFT.

TFT aims to provide goods and services which reflect the individuality of the client. We advise and guide, but definitely do not dictate to our clients and will do everything possible to accommodate, amaze and please, going that "extra mile" to make an event even more memorable. We get much of our business via recommendations from customers to their friends and families.
