Wedding Cakes By Design

Working from home, in the countryside near Downpatrick, all of my wedding cakes and special occasion cakes are baked fresh to order, using only the best ingredients.

I thoroughly enjoy baking and decorating wedding cakes and have been a pastry chef for 25 years, 9 of which were spent in the pastry shops and hotels of Bermuda.

In Bermuda I entered the yearly professional catering competitions competing with other professional chefs around the world.

I achieved 4 Silver Medals, 6 Gold Medals and 2 Trophies, including one for the individual with the most points in the professional culinary section presented by the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique of New York all of which were for my wedding and special occasion cakes.

Since returning home in Northern Ireland I have enjoyed making cakes for all occasions, wedding cakes, special occasion cakes, birthday cakes, anniversary cakes, christening cakes, in my spare time. Now my family are growing up and more independent I feel it is the right time to branch out into wedding cake creation and design here in NI. I am really enjoying it so far, so bear with me as I have lots more ideas and skills to share.
