About
I fell in love with Celebrancy when I met a Celebrant in Australia and a friend's wedding. The most magical location on the Mornington Peninsula, at the Red Hill Winery, at sunset. In 2003, nothing like that existed in England, and I sooooo wished it would as I totally believe couples should never have to compromise on how they celebrate life's milestones! In 2011 I trained with Terri Shanks, the founder of the UK College of Celebrancy, and nearly 500 ceremonies later, I still love my role!!

FAQ
If you are travelling to the UK or to Europe for a Destination Ceremony then please allow as much time as possible as these often will require me to book out two or even three days (one day travel either side of your ceremony day) depending on how long it would take, and what time you would like your ceremony to begin.
Wedding dates around weekends book up quickly. There is more flexibility in weekdays :)
Yes, of course - but my only wish here is that you feel appropriately supported and therefore I would require a deeper conversation with you, and to receive advice and guidance on what elements you wish me to include.
If you would like to involve your religous leader in the ceremony i am also more than happy to work with them, if that is allowed by their church. There are many moments in the ceremony that would allow for a religious blessing, reading or prayer.
If parents or family members would like to offer a prayer to begin the ceremony with, I am very happy to include something like this, so that you wishes and those of your families are respected and taken into account.
I would say that in the majority of cases, an English language only ceremony with say two readings and one ritual (like a unity candle or a hand fasting) would take around 30 minutes.
When it is a bilingual ceremony, this might take anything from 40 to 50 minutes as all the elements are translated.
The ceremonies that are conducted outside are sometimes held up if bad weather happens to come along unexpectedly! I am of course flexible, and with you for the hours and time you need (I only conduct one ceremony on any one day).
