Allowing your family and friends to witness your commitment to each other and your expression of love for one another is a privilege. Doing this in a ceremony that reflects your personalities is a wonderful way to do so and something you will always remember and treasure. What makes a humanist wedding or partnership special is that it can be completely tailored to you. We’ll find exactly the right mix of words, music, tradition, novelty, old and new to reflect you.

As an experienced wedding celebrant I can help you to make your day special. I see my role as one of facilitator, the person who will help you to create the ceremony you want, providing you with ideas and helping to ensure your own ideas become a reality; to have fun in putting it all together; to provide professionalism and calm on the day; to help you to express your love and commitment to each other in the presence of your friends and family.

After our initial meeting, if I am the right person to lead your ceremony, we will meet again to explore what you want your wedding to include, what you want it to feel like, what you want to say to each other. I will draft the script and together we will develop it over the next few weeks (or days if that’s all you’ve got) until you are happy that it will allow you to express your love for each other and publicly state your commitment and vows to each other.

We will have a rehearsal as close to the day as possible and include everyone who will play a part in your ceremony. On the day I will hold the ceremony together, guiding you through each precious word.
