I'm Janet Glenwright, a Celebrant that works across the North East, Tyne and wear, Northumberland and Durham - I'm a teller of stories, a weaver of tales and I just love creating wedding ceremonies that everyone can enjoy. A ceremony that I've written especially for you, in celebration of your love story. A ceremony that's warm and engaging, where your personalities set the mood. Simple and genuine, light hearted and humorous, formal and traditional - it's whatever is right for you.

After 40 years in the NHS working in both the delivery of care and education, working with families in times of joy and stress, I decided to offer my services in a different way, as a professional celebrant I can offer you a ceremony which can be tailored to suit your personal ideas.

Unlike registrars and religious representatives, I can deliver your bespoke ceremony in almost any venue and am not limited to licensed venues. ?This means your service can be what you want, where you want and how you want it. You can have faith elements within the ceremony if that's what you would like.

?Examples of different ceremonies are Handfasting, Sand ceremony, Jumping the Broom, Petal Ceremony and more. ?As a Member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants I work to a set of professional standards, have appropriate insurance and have been DBS checked.

About

I worked for over 40 years in the NHS as both as a registered nurse, health visitor and community practice teacher, I also for 15 years designed and facilitated courses alongside presenting at conferences and freelance lecturing, as you can see I am used to public speaking, writing and planning for all eventualities. Being a celebrant has allowed me to use all my training, skills and experience in one role. I love it, it is so exciting to help couples design and plan their bespoke ceremony.
