Julia will continue to offer her couture service, range of her own dresses, together with a portfolio of carefully selected leading UK and world designers.
Julia graduated from De Montfort University with a degree in fashion and has designed for both Burberry and Coats Viyella, before specialising in bridal design. Working from her home based studio, Julia has spent the last twelve years designing and personally hand making all of her own gowns.
This is an opportunity to have a totally unique gown created, a truly one-off creation designed and hand made by Julia in her studio located within her new shop.
Whether the bride has ideas of her own, or is looking for design and styling to suit her body size and shape, Julia brings her expertise and enthusiasm born out of a genuine love for her work to provide a unique personal service.
The service begins with a consultation to establish the brides requirements and provides an opportunity for the bride to incorporate any ideas or concepts she may have. This is followed up with the design process and the presentation of a range of drawings, arguably themselves a work of art in their own right, of Julia's design ideas. Once the design has been selected and finalised, the next stage is the make up of a toile, a calico mock up of the gown to establish the correct fit. Finally the gown itself is created out of the finest silks, followed by several fittings to ensure the gown is fitted perfectly to the bride.
The end result is a truly unique gown, fashioned from the finest materials, and fitted to perfection.
